TRUE GRIT'S CAPTAINÂ & GUIDE
A lifelong outdoors enthusiast, Chris grew up mountain biking, hiking, fishing in rural Pennsylvania. In his grandfather’s and father’s footsteps, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served in the gulf for Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Stationed in Puerto Rico, he spent long days in the Caribbean fishing, spearfishing and diving when he wasn’t at work or sea.
After his second tour of duty, Chris returned to civilian life to pursue his boyhood passion for building and design. The owner of Integrity Renovation since 2010, Chris approached building True Grit Bowfishing with the same principles and focus on an incredible client experience. As a landowner in the Cumberland Basin watershed, he values protecting our water resources and native flora and fauna.

From boar to whitetail, from Largemouth Bass to Longnose Gar, Chris was after all kinds of wild game until he discovered bowfishing. With year-round action, bowfishing quickly eclipsed other seasonal pursuits.

After traveling to New York to get the boat he envisioned, researching and procuring the best gear, learning about the spawns and cycles, and conducting numerous trips with friends, he is thrilled to provide you with an unparalleled bowfishing experience.

THE BOAT
The True Grit charter comfortably hosts upt to 4 bowfishers with your guide. The boat is an American made 2019 Grizzly Tracker 2072 Sportsman MVX equipped with a Mercury 4 stroke 115 HP engine. Blind Duck custom paint makes the hull body the only thing that blends into the day and night.

The bow has a tapered 7 ft shooting deck to allow for more elevation and angles for spotting and shooting success. The night is lit with 40,000 lumens of Archenemy Factory lighting below the deck and over 60,000 lumens of remote operated, customized rail illumination from bow to stern.
